ISA 2006 LIVE MESSENGER & YAHOO NOT WORKING?
Hello all,
We are having problems with live messenger and yahoo not working
with ISA sever 2006, our configuration is to allow all users traffic out
with no exceptions as all of our users internet traffic is through the
proxy, if i bypass the proxy server and go directly through the firewall
they both work fine (that is the policy for the IAS server).
I have turned on logging and get the following:- 12209 The ISA Server
requires authorization to fulfill the request. Access to the Web Proxy
filter is denied. This is on Port 80 its really strange.
We are also using Skype through the proxy and it work great. Could
any one give me some advice on what could be causing this ? I have
found heaps of articles on how to block them but nothing on to to
make them work.
i think ISA is internet server administator?-anyhow, if ur able to go the route, looks like u have to update/upgrade to 2008-9 live messenger, n yahoo 2008. Do NOT-DO NOT update to IE8, 2 many problems, n not compatable with several programs. i did, and got rid of it. the newer version of windows live messenger i think is great, a live messenger is similar to yahoo messenger. i like it, n keeping it. i really hope this helps. alos if u want-get a book on (not to offend) internet for dummies(again-not to offend), IDG does the book. it should help. i,m reading my 3rd one.
