What are the advantages and disadvantages of PHP over JSP?
We want to develop a small site, but with heavy traffic. 90% read performance of MySQL. And we want to use the latest Web 2.0 features like tagging, blogs, forums, etc., off-the-shelf. What is the best technology to Use? PHP or JSP. We have development experience in JSP, but has a strong presence for high volume website. Please Please give us your experiences with it. Thank you for your responses. Appreciated. And we want to use AJAX a lot.
JSP need more resources to host the site, but it's better when you have multiple simultaneous users. I scripting language PHP for server side for sites that do not receive much traffic.
