Need a tool that indexes directories of .htm files and outputs frequency of all words and phrases.?
i am looking for a tool that can help me with optimizing selection of keywords for the webpage meta tags on a website with about 50 pages and maybe 100K words. I have manually read through most of the pages and picked out what seem to be the most common words and terms/phrases (of up to 3-4 words) but, this takes hours, there must be software out there that does this. Here is an example of what i am looking for e.g., for the site just mentioned, the top 10 words / phrases, the frequency of their appearance are:
179FAA
157air transportation system
153next generation air
126weather
119Air Traffic Control
107transformation
99Aerospace industry
76Runway
61 National Airspace System
57Air Traffic Management
Anyone know where i would look to find such a program or what search terms to use ? I searched various combinations of these and found nothing that looked like what i need:
- word count, phrase count, indexing, parsing
This can be done easily on an Apple Mac computer running OSX – do you have a Mac or a PC?
